Statuario Marble

Origin

Statuario marble is quarried exclusively in the Apuan Alps near Carrara and Seravezza, Tuscany, Italy, the same region famed for Carrara, Calacatta, and Arabescato marbles.
Its name derives from its historic use in sculpture (statua), prized by Renaissance masters like Michelangelo for its fine grain and luminous finish.

  • Features a pure milkywhite background with few, fine grey veins, giving Statuario a minimalist yet luxurious appearance.

  • Its veins are more understated than those of other marbles, yet deliver refined contrast—a subtle sophistication that defines its high-end appeal.

Statuario is exceptionally rare and coveted—far less available than Carrara or Calacatta—but regarded as one of the most luxurious white marbles available.
Common uses: luxury interiors, statement flooring, highend countertops, feature walls, vanity tops, sculptural elements, and installations in upscale hotels and residences.
